SEVERE: Student Exposure to Violence and Resilience
The SEVERE (Student Exposure to Violence and Resilience) Study aimed to capture the types of violence college students in Pittsburgh experienced and how these experiences affected their mental health and academic performance.
The study recruited 250 students from the University of Pittsburgh to complete an online survey assessing victimization rates, anxiety and PTSD symptoms, and academic outcomes (e.g., GPA).
