About Amelia
Amelia Leonard holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Psychology with a minor in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. She joined the CREAR Lab in 2023 and supports both research activities and day-to-day lab operations.
Amelia recently completed an Honors Thesis examining PTSD symptoms among men and women in rural Mexico, focusing on how intimate partner violence and community violence affect mental health outcomes. Her research interests center on gender-based and sexual violence, and she aims to contribute work that meaningfully supports survivors, especially those in underserved communities.
