About Patrick

Patrick studies how polyvictimization impacts adolescent mental health and development, with an emphasis on protective factors such as education and social support, as well as gender differences in experiences and outcomes. He is a first-year doctoral student in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.

His research seeks to understand how exposure to violence shapes psychological resilience and well-being among Latinx and underrepresented youth. Patrick’s work integrates both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore mechanisms that promote thriving in the face of adversity, particularly through culturally grounded frameworks and community-based research.
